What's Included

Worn parts replaced. Good parts left alone. Always in that order.

Hampton Roads roads (potholes, salt, age) chew through bushings, ball joints, and struts faster than the schedule says. We inspect, point at what's actually worn, and only replace what needs replacing.

  • Strut & shock replacementProper spring-compression tools on the truck. Done safely on jack stands. No shortcuts.
  • Control arm + ball joint replacementPress-in ball joints handled with the right press. Bushings included on full control arm swaps.
  • Tie rod ends + inner tie rodsReplace, then mark for alignment shop. Inner tie rods done with the proper tool, not vice grips.
  • Sway bar links + bushingsThe clunk fix nobody catches. Cheap part, big difference in ride feel.
  • Alignment recommendationWe partner. We don't do alignments at the curb. We refer to a trusted local shop and book the slot for you.
When to Call

If your car does any of these, get it inspected.

Clunking Over Bumps

That metal-on-metal sound over speed humps and potholes. Usually sway bar links or worn ball joints.

Car Wanders or Pulls

Constant steering correction on straight road, drift to one side. Tie rods, control arms, or alignment gone.

Cupped or Uneven Tire Wear

Inside or outside edge worn way faster than the middle, or scalloped patterns. Suspension or alignment issue.

Bouncing After a Bump

Car keeps bobbing 2-3 times after a speed bump. Struts or shocks have lost their damping.

Steering Vibration at Highway

Wheel shakes at 55-70 mph. Could be tire balance, worn tie rods, or a bent suspension component.

Sits Lower on One Corner

One corner of the car visibly lower than the others. Broken or sagged spring, or collapsed strut.

How It Works

Drive it. Inspect it. Replace what's actually worn.

Road Test First

We drive it before we touch it. Listen for noise, feel the steering, watch for pull or drift. Confirms the symptom matches what you described.

Lift & Inspect

Up on jack stands, hands on every joint. Check ball joints for play, bushings for cracks, struts for fluid leaks, tie rods for slop.

Replace Worn Components

With the right tools: spring compressor, ball joint press, torque wrench. No shortcuts on suspension. Safety part.

Final Road Test + Alignment Referral

Drive it again to confirm the fix. If the work needs alignment after (tie rods, control arms, struts), we book you with a partner shop.

"Shop quoted me $1,400 for all four struts. These guys came out, inspected everything, and said only the front pair was actually shot. Saved me $700 and the ride is back to normal."

Tony P. · Suffolk Google

"Hit a pothole on 64 and started hearing a clunk. They found a bad sway bar link in 10 minutes, $80 part, $50 labor at my house. Done same day. No more clunk."

Alicia W. · Newport News Google

"Replaced both lower ball joints in my Tacoma in my driveway. Used the proper press, torqued everything to spec, even referred me to an alignment shop they trust. Top to bottom professional."

Common Questions

Suspension & Steering FAQs.

Do I need an alignment after suspension work?

After tie rod ends, control arms, or struts: yes. Anything that changes geometry needs an alignment afterward.

Just shocks, sway bar links, or strut mounts: usually no. We tell you which case yours is and refer to a local alignment shop we trust.

OEM vs aftermarket suspension parts?

Mid-grade aftermarket like Moog, KYB, or Bilstein matches OEM quality for most daily drivers, sometimes better.

We don't push premium parts unless you tow heavy, off-road, or specifically want the upgrade. Honest answer: most customers get the same life out of mid-grade.

How long do struts typically last?

60,000 to 100,000 miles is typical. Hampton Roads roads (potholes, road salt near the coast, hot summers) shorten that.

We measure ride height and check for fluid leaks on the strut body before recommending replacement. Mileage alone isn't enough.

Can I drive with a broken ball joint?

Short distance only, and even that's risky. A failed ball joint can fully separate and drop the wheel, causing complete loss of control at speed.

If we find a bad one during inspection, we tell you to stop driving the car until it's fixed. Tow it home if you have to. Not worth the risk.

Why don't you do alignments?

Alignments need a four-post rack and laser equipment we can't fit on a service truck. It's the one job that requires a shop.

We partner with 2-3 local alignment shops in Hampton Roads and refer customers directly. Usually we can call ahead and get you slotted same week.
